Murphy Surveys to speak at DIT Open Day
DIT Bolton Street are hosting an open day this weekend and we are delighted to have Michael Durnin, our Head of Digital Construction and Monitoring speaking at the event. We are committed to investing in the future of our industry and we can only do that by encouraging new people to enter our profession. During the open day this Saturday 14th April, Michael will be giving an overview of the Surveying and Construction Management Programmes and the significance of role of the Geomatics Surveyor. As part of the talk Michael will discuss the scope of work and responsibilities of the Geomatics surveyor with real world examples, he’ll also discuss role in relation the other surveying professionals including QS’s and property surveyors. One of the programme’s first year students Rose Pearson will also be there to talk about why she was inspired to join the programme and her experience so far. We’re also delighted to announce that Rose will begin work experience with Murphy Surveys in our Survey & UAV department this summer.
Michael will be speaking at 10:45 on Saturday 14th April, in room 335. Following the talk, students will be invited into the class room to find out more and see first-hand the latest technology used by Geomatics Surveyors.
