“The orthophoto survey undertaken by Murphy Surveys has proven to be a highly valuable asset to both the design team and the client. The design team have an accurate and detailed base map of a large area to inform the design process, while the client has the long-term benefit of an up-to-date background for their numerous GIS databases and for future planning and design.

The surveys were carried out in an efficient and professional manner and the outputs were delivered on time and to our specification. I would not hesitate to recommend Murphy Surveys to anybody seeking high quality surveys.”

“We recently engaged the services of Murphy Surveys Ltd to undertake live monitoring of the Luas Line on a project in Dublin City Centre. Due to the proximity of the Luas lines to the double basement excavation, a detailed methodology and monitoring proposal was required. Shane and his team developed a methodology and carried out AMS track monitoring, precise level surveying, inclinometer readings and vibration monitoring during the course of our works. Murphy Surveys completed this work to a high standard from start to finish and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”

“Murphy Surveys joined The Greater West when ABC identified the need to provide accurate delivery of as-built foundation data to designers. Murphy’s were initially brought in to overcome staff shortages, though after receipt of initial data, ABC recognised the quality of their work. Working together, ABC and Murphy’s established quality assurance standards and processes for Murphy’s to complete prior to data delivery.
To support the increasing levels of as-built data that were being received, a system was developed to verify the information with on the fly quality assurance. Thanks to Murphy’s early engagement and technical input in the development of this system, it was very successful.
Murphy’s surpassed ABC’s expectations with their attention to detail and comprehensive approach in their quality assurance document, which they developed to support their quality checks. This gave ABC great confidence in their delivery.
Murphy’s exemplary service did not stop at engineering delivery, their operations management was superior to other survey contractors on the project. Murphy’s proactive approach to sharing progress and their initiatives for planning works influenced wider communications across the project team and meant all parties were always in sync.”

Philip Pitman, Data Acquisition Manager, ABC Electrification

“Murphy Surveys has been successfully providing surveys to Bord Gais for more than 20 years. Safety is hugely important to us, and we value that they have such comprehensive systems in place in this regard. They also use the latest technological equipment to collect data non-intrusively, which minimises or eliminates any disruption and risk; this is particularly important to us in the detection of underground utilities. The data is delivered very promptly, and its quality is consistently high.””

Brian Walsh, Senior Engineer, Bord Gais

“We are very pleased with the drawings. For conservation recording the features have been surveyed in detail and drawn with clarity. It was particularly useful to have photographs beside the drawings of some of the details. The suite of drawings is very comprehensive and well presented. We appreciate the effort that went into them.”

Anne Fletcher, Coady Partnership Architects

“I used Murphy Surveys to map a recent farm purchase (77 acres) in advance of closing the transaction in November 2014. My previous experience was that land purchases frequently threw up issues in subsequent years. Their resolution typically cost both time and legal fees and that was where resolutions were amicable!

The Murphy survey (carried out in the field, digitally, as opposed to in an office) identified a number of anomalies which needed to be resolved, including where the right of way was on the map (as opposed to its physical location). While the difference may appear small to the casual observer, in reality, it could become an issue at any stage through the generations. I believe all parties (seller, buyer and other stakeholders on the roadway) are better off for having had the work carried out. Post mapping, there is a greater level of certainty over where the boundaries exist.

Kieran Mahon, Davy

“Irish Rail embarked on an ambitious project that required a highly detailed survey of all 3,600km of operational and disused railway lines nationwide. We requested delivery of the data in the format of a bespoke Geographic Information System (GIS). Murphy Surveys completed this work to excellent standards from start to finish. Using a helicopter and LIDAR technology, they captured all the data quickly and accurately, and they delivered on time in a GIS that surpassed our expectations. We look forward to working with them again.”
