Slovenian Surveyors Day

Chief Executive Raymond Murphy to present at Slovenian Surveying Days 2019

We’re delighted to announce that our Chief Executive for Murphy Surveys Ireland, Raymond Murphy will present at Slovenian Surveying Day 2019 in Novo mesto, Slovenia on 15th March. The event is organised by Slovenian Association of Surveyors and is the 47th Slovenian Land Surveying Day and the 8th Day of the European Surveyor and Geoinformation.

Raymond’s presentation, Business Matters of Professional Surveyors in Western Europe, will offer an insight into our business and approach to harnessing new technology and innovation to deliver tangible value to clients across the property, infrastructure and construction markets. He will look at the importance of quality assurance procedures and proven workflows from BIM, laser scanning and subsurface mapping, to monitoring, hydrographic and UAV surveys. He’ll also provide insight into the changing role of the surveyor as data managers and a key link between stakeholders such as designers, engineers and quantity surveyors. This session will provide real-life project examples, from large scale infrastructure projects to Heritage BIM projects for retrofit, where we have enabled our clients to make more informed decisions and drive efficiencies throughout the construction lifecycle.

Raymond comments:

I’m honoured to be asked to speak at this year’s Slovenian Surveying Day and I’m excited to connect with friends, colleagues and surveying students in the region. Our footprint in Europe is growing and we’re always looking for passionate and talented people to join our team, so I’m looking forward to helping inspire professionals and the next generation of students in the area.
