TOPOGRAPHICALWhat is a Topographical Surveys A Topographic Survey measures the position and elevation of points on a particular piece of land or area, and represents them as lines, symbols and contour lines on a plot. This is generally used for planning and design for Architectural and Engineering purposes. Topographic surveying involves the production of maps and plans which are true to scale. The maps are produced to accurately represent details of both the natural and built environments. They will also include symbols representing features or data too small to produce to scale, and establish the position and shape of natural and man-made features of any given area. Contour lines are present to indicate levels across the site and these can be shown at predetermined intervals as required.
