What is Setting Out?

At the construction stage of a project, when the elements of design and build come together, positional accuracy is critical. Our experience and dedication to quality and service will ensure your build runs efficiently and accurately.

Our experienced engineering surveyors manage high-accuracy placement of infrastructure and buildings on a daily basis. The use of 1" Leica Total Stations and GPS (Global Positioning Systems), combined with rigorous procedures, guarantees confident and consistent Setting Out at each steps of the process:

Design Data
By using your design, we generate XYZ data, which are then loaded onto the Total Station or GPS. Our surveyors can then place points to the specified accuracy using pegs, flags or nails, as appropriate.

Point Placement
We use Real Time Kinematic (RTK), GPS and Robotic Total Stations when placing points to ensure optimal results.

Quality Control
At project completion or hand-over, an As-Built Survey is carried out to ensure the quality of the work meets the design specifications.
