HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS

Hydrographic surveys investigate and describe areas with major presence of water, whether they are the nature environments or the results of national catastrophes, such as large scale flooding. Murphy Surveys undertake a wide range of hydrographic and combined hydrographic and topographic surveys in river, lake, estuary, flood plain and inshore environments.

Our highly experienced Hydrographic teams are managed by our Hydrographic Survey Manager Cameron Hughes. Cameron has amassed a wealth of understanding and onsite knowledge with 20 years experience of hydrographic surveying throughout Ireland and UK. All our hydrographic teams are fully trained and certified for operating our vessels, small boats and equipments with the utmost commitment to health and safety.

Data Formats and Deliverables

We recognise that getting right data at the right time is very important, especially in fast changing water and flood environments. We provide data in many formats to meet specific client and project needs. We present final processed drawings in AutoCAD, integrating data from sonar, GPS, totalstation and laser scanning to provide comprehensive information across water and terrain in any situations. We also produce spatial datasets for GIS applications and provide raw hydrographic data in ISIS, HEC-RAS and MIKE formats.
