Murphy Surveys provide close range laser scanning
Murphy Surveys use a portable coordinate measuring machine with integrated laser scanner for close range laser scanning. This technology is a fully integrated high definition 3D measurement solution for applications that require metrology grade precision. It can be used for 3D inspections, dimensional analysis and reverse engineering tasks. The non-contact scanner is incorporated into the seven axis arm that rotates around for a more natural feel.
Other benefits close range laser scanning are
- The design and mechanics of the arm endures ample flexibility, resulting in the ideal tool to accurately measure difficult to reach areas
- Fully integrated scanning solution – no additional cables or controller box
- No warm-up time; setup is quick and easy
Keystone Supplies are natural stone specialists that commissioned Murphy Surveys the task of measuring several pieces of limestone needful of replacement in two windows of St James’ Church, a protected structure in Dublin. The measurements were used as a base for the design of the new stone components, work also performed by Murphy Surveys Ltd.
Keystone Supplies manufactured the new parts using the concept drawings provided by Murphy Surveys and, within a few days, the replacement stone blocks were ready for installation, fitting first time.
