Murphy Surveys present cheque for €20,750 to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin
Last week we were honoured and proud to present Sarah O’Suilleabhain of the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation (CMRF) at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin with a cheque donation for €20,750. The money was raised following our annual Murphy Surveys Cycle for Crumlin event in July.
With over double the number of registrations at this years’ Cycle for Crumlin, the event was a huge success, with over 358 cyclists participating through the 50km and 100km cycle route starting and finishing at Murphy Surveys HQ in Kilcullen. The event now in its 5th year, is a firm favourite in the cycling calendar and has smashed all targets raising in excess of €60,000 to date. The funds raised will go directly to CMRF Crumlin, the fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and the National Children’s Research Centre.
“Cycle for Crumlin is a fantastic event making a real difference for sick children and their families,” comments Sarah O’Suilleabhain, Corporate Development Manager, CMRF Crumlin. “We are so grateful to Murphy Surveys and all their wonderful staff, families, suppliers and other supporters that have got on board over the last four years. It’s through this kind of generous and enthusiastic teamwork that CMRF Crumlin is enabled to fund life-saving research, purchase equipment, redevelop wards and brighten days for sick children. On behalf of all the little heroes, their families and staff in Crumlin, thank you.”
Niall Murphy Managing Director, Murphy Surveys comments: “Our Cycle for Crumlin event has continued to grow each year and we’ve been overwhelmed with the tremendous support from the cyclists, volunteers, sponsors and staff who have all contributed and helped us smash our targets to raise over €60,000 for the hospital to date. In particular the kind generosity of our sponsors and our own financial support from Murphy Surveys, have helped ensure 100% of the event registration fee goes directly to CMRF Crumlin, a very worthy cause that’s dear to our heart. The presentation took place at our annual staff BBQ and family fun day, so an apt occasion for us to come together and collectively show our support for the CMRF.”
