Murphy Surveys: Lecture on Integration of BIM and Surveying

On Monday 25th, Alan Halpin and Michael Durnin, of Murphy Surveys, will be presenting a lecture on the Integration of BIM and Surveying hosted by the Institution of Civil Engineers in conjunction with Engineers Ireland.

 

Alan Halpin, BIM Manager, has been involved with BIM for over six years and has recently been shortlisted in the Irish Construction Industry Awards for his entry on ‘Heritage Building Surveying & Information Modelling’ for BIM Initiative of the Year.

 

Michael Durnin, Chief Surveyor, Luas Cross City Works, has extensive experience in executing and managing large survey, hydrographic and infrastructure projects.

 

The lecture takes place Monday, April 25th from 6.30pm at Engineers Ireland, Dublin and is a joint event with the Institution of Civil Engineers Republic of Ireland Graduate & Student committee.

 

BIM topics which will be covered at the free seminar include looking at how information will be requested, what information can be gathered, how it can be used in BIM environments, when such information can be used and BIM to Field solution.

 

Engineers Ireland will also be live casting this event online and you can watch the stream online live from 6.15pm.
