Murphy Surveys fosters young talent as part of the EU Erasmus Plus Programme
We’re delighted to welcome Erasmus students from Poland to our Irish office as part of the EU Erasmus Plus Student Network Programme. The five higher education students are working towards a qualification in surveying and will be furthering their education and knowledge with hands-on experience at Murphy Surveys.
The Erasmus programme gives students in higher education the opportunity to take on an internship in another European country, where they’ll experience different cultures, learn new language skills and help support their future career path.
“We’re happy to welcome Erasmus students to our family at Murphy Surveys,” comments Ray Murphy, Chief Executive, Murphy Surveys. “During their four weeks with us, the students will be out in the field observing and supporting our surveyors, they’ll also be spending time with our data managers back in the office to learn about post processing survey data. The Erasmus programme is a fantastic initiative to nurture talent and provide students with valuable experience that will help support their professional development and future careers.”
“As documented in the press, we have a skills gap in our industry and by opening up opportunities to international students we can help address these challenges. The Erasmus Programme is just one initiative that we’re involved in and we’re working closely with colleges and universities nationwide to help attract the next generation into our profession.”
We hope the students have an enjoyable and worthwhile experience working with us and wish them every success in their future careers.
