Client Requirements:

The redevelopment of Dundalk Shopping Centre involved the partial demolition of the existing structure and the construction of a mixed use development of 23,563 square metres gross. The client required:

-	Structural plans
-	Section drawings
-	Survey works to be carried out at night

Murphy Surveys Solution:

-	Murphy Surveys proposed and carried out the following using HD Laser Scanning techniques for capturing data: 2 plan drawings showing the location of all the columns and other structural features on each floor; 2 long sections of the building showing sectional elevation detail; 2 sections local to a specific retail unit of interest, as per specification
-	The techniques used increased speed of data capture and consequently reduced our time on site to minimize the impact on the daily commercial activity of the Shopping Centre
-	• The completeness of data sets recorded means that later investigations can be carried out without costly returns to site. Additional extra-details can be extracted from the model at a very cost-effective rate for the client.
